Terms of Use.

Agreement and scope

These Terms apply to Pressly Hover for Mac, published by Bill Ryan Cabral. They do not apply to the separate Pressly app for iPhone and iPad or to third-party checkout services.

You accept these Terms when you download, install, or use Pressly Hover. Stop using and delete the app if you do not accept them.

You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms. If you use Pressly Hover for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for that organization.

The seven-day trial

The trial begins the first time Pressly Hover runs on a Mac and lasts seven consecutive days. It provides access to the features available in that version.

The trial requests no payment method, creates no subscription, and causes no automatic charge. Reading functions remain unavailable after the trial ends until you activate a paid license.

Pressly Hover stores trial dates and a random installation identifier in the macOS Keychain and Application Support folder. Reinstalling the app does not reset the trial. You may not alter local data, system time, or the app to extend or restart a trial.

The one-time license

A completed one-time purchase grants the purchaser a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the compiled Pressly Hover app for personal or internal business use.

The purchase creates no subscription and has no scheduled renewal charge. The number of active Macs follows the activation limit shown at checkout or enforced by the license service for the purchased product.

Keep the license key confidential. You may deactivate an old Mac before activating another when the license service requires an available activation.

The license remains subject to these Terms and valid product activation. A one-time purchase carries no promise of a particular update schedule, future feature, or compatibility with a future macOS release.

Acceptable use

You may use Pressly Hover with text that you have the right to access and read. You remain responsible for the source material and the permissions you grant on your Mac.

You may not:

• Use Pressly Hover to evade access controls, copy protection, privacy controls, or another person's rights.
• Tamper with the trial, license checks, activation records, or license service.
• Share, sell, rent, sublicense, publish, or redistribute the app or license key.
• Use the app for unlawful activity or introduce malicious code.
• Reverse engineer or modify the app except to the extent that applicable law grants a right that these Terms cannot restrict.

Accessibility and compatibility

Pressly Hover requires macOS 13 or later and macOS Accessibility permission. You control that permission in System Settings.

Source apps decide which text they expose through Accessibility. Pressly Hover does not guarantee support for each app, website, document, or display layout. Protected text, images, canvas content, secure fields, and some PDFs may be unavailable.

Browser, website, document, and macOS updates can change text availability. A feature that works in one source app may behave differently in another.

Updates and changes to the app

Bill may release fixes, feature changes, or compatibility updates. An update may change system requirements or remove a feature that no longer works with macOS or a third-party app.

The one-time license includes no service-level agreement, release schedule, or promise of support for future operating systems. The product page or release notes will describe requirements for a published version.

Payments and refunds

Pressly Hover uses a direct checkout rather than Mac App Store billing. Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for a configured purchase and handles payment, tax, receipts, and license delivery. The checkout shows the price, currency, and applicable tax before payment.

Lemon Squeezy handles refund requests under its Buyer Terms and applicable consumer law. Pressly Hover offers no separate promised refund window.

Send purchase or delivery problems to cabralbillryan@gmail.com with the order number and purchasing email. Do not include paragraph text or a full license key in a support email.

Ownership

The paid license gives you permission to use the compiled Pressly Hover app under these Terms. Bill Ryan Cabral retains the app's source code, design, name, logo, and other intellectual property.

These Terms grant no right to distribute Pressly Hover, use Pressly branding for another product, or claim ownership of the app.

Warranty and liability limits

To the extent applicable law allows, Bill provides Pressly Hover as is and as available. Bill does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, support for a specific source app, a reading-speed result, or a particular productivity outcome.

To the extent applicable law allows, Bill is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss connected with your use of Pressly Hover. Total liability for claims related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the license.

Consumer guarantees, refund rights, and remedies that applicable law does not allow these Terms to exclude remain in force. The limits above apply only where the law permits them.

Ending the license

You can stop using Pressly Hover, deactivate the paid license on that Mac, and delete the app.

Bill may suspend or end a license after a material breach of these Terms, fraud, license-key abuse, or a reversed or refunded payment, subject to applicable law. You must stop using and delete the app after the license ends.

Trial records can remain in the Keychain after deletion. The Privacy Policy explains local records, paid-license deactivation, and purchase data.

Changes, severability, and support

Pressly will post revised Terms at this address and change the effective date. Changes apply from their stated date. Pressly will request consent if applicable law requires it.

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Support has no guaranteed response time or resolution deadline. Include the Pressly Hover version, macOS version, and a short description of the problem. Avoid sending private source text.
